Hello, I am your Lancaster Middle School Counselor (4th-8th).  I am available to help you and your child have a successful school year.  As a school counselor, I work with parents and students in different ways through a program of many services.  Each service is aimed at helping children learn and develop to their highest potential.  If you have any questions or wish to meet with me, feel free to call me at school (ext. 223) or email me at

Our counseling program is available to help students, parents, and teachers develop positive learning experiences and to assure that each student has every possible opportunity to develop to his or her potential.  The program consists of a variety of services and activities, including individual and group counseling, parent and teacher consultation, group guidance, information services, referral assistance to other programs and services in the community, and student assessment. 

 

I spend the majority of my time in these areas:

• Guidance Curriculum – teaching the guidance curriculum/standards in classrooms or with planned small groups. Lessons are proactive, prevention based and data driven.
• Individual Planning with Students – working with small groups or individual students concerning educational plans, appraisals, and advisement
• Responsive Services – responding to crisis situations, individual problems, groups of students with an immediate needs, etc.
• System Support – program planning, professional development, community relations, consultations with teachers and others concerning the program, data analysis, program evaluation and student results, etc.
