Learning Microsoft Office 2010 Advanced Skills
Description:
Advanced Microsoft Office begins with a review of computer basics processing documentation. The focus part of the course is an in-depth exploration of Microsoft Word and Excel. The class will learn more complex functions in Microsoft Excel as well as becoming efficient in Microsoft Word. Every Friday we have what is called “Tech” Fridays where we explore Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator to create fun projects.
Evaluation Method
You will be graded on the following categories:
Homework/Participation 70%
Tests 30%
Microsoft Word Goals:
Students will learn to insert text files, cover pages, creating and editing styles, creating multilevel lists.
Students will learn how to create forms, protect documents, inspecting and checking documents.
Students will learn how to use the inserting fields, using comments, tracking changes, and comparing documents.
Microsoft Excel Goals:
Students will understand how to manage large workbooks and use the advanced sorting and filtering feature.
Students will learn how to format char elements, create stacked area charts, and work with sparklines.
Students will learn how to use data analysis, scenario, and worksheet auditing features in Microsoft Excel.
General Rules
1. Materials needed: None
2. Students must follow the district Computer Usage policy.
3. Any unexcused absences will result in a zero for that day.
4. Any students found sharing files will receive a zero on that assignment and a referral will be written.
5. The school tardy policy will be followed.
